Wholewheat Flour Kozhukkattai

For the Dough :
1.5 cup Wholewheat flour
3/4 cup water
1.5 tsp salt
For the Filling :
1.5 cup Grated coconut
3/4 cup Grated Jaggery
In a bowl, mix together the grated coconut and grated jaggery and keep it aside.
Next take the wholewheat flour in another bowl. Add salt and mix. Add water & start kneading to form a loose dough. If the dough is tight, the dumplings will turn hard. So make sure to use enough water to make it a little loose. Now wet your palms with water and take a lemon sized ball of the dough.
Flatten it using fingers and place about 1 tbsp of the coconut filling inside. Then join the edges and close to form a ball. Seal well. Similarly prepare all the dumplings.
Then in a steaming vessel, steam for about 15-20 minutes until they are cooked. Allow to cool a bit.
Tasty wholewheat flour kozhukkattai or wholewheat flour sweet dumplings are ready!
