Steamed Suji Balls 65

30 min 2 Moderately Spicy Main Ingredient: Sunreap Sooji Cuisine: Indian Fusion
For the Pancake Batter
1 cup Sunreap Premium Suji/Semolina
2 Cups Water
1/2 tbsp Black Pepper powder
1 inch grated Ginger
1 tbsp White oil
For 65 Gravy :
1 tbsp White/gingerly oil
1 tbsp Grated ginger & chopped garlic
1/2 tsp Black mustard seeds
1 tbsp Chili garlic sauce
1 tbsp Tomato sauce
Soya sauce few drops
Salt to taste
Step 1Boil 2 cups water in a pan add the white oil, black pepper and grated ginger. Add the suji and mix well
Step 2Cover and let it rest for 5 mins.
Step 3Let the suji to cool down a bit. Kneed the suji mixture a bit like a dough, oil your hands and make small balls.
Step 4Place the suji balls on a slotted thali or steamer. I've used Tupperware steamer here and steam the balls for 20 mins.
Step 5The suji balls will be like sponge balls.
Step 6Now heat oil in a pan, temper with curry leaves, mustard seeds chopped ginger & garlic and fry for some time.Now add all the sauces one by by one, stir fry for a bit.
Step 7Add the suji balls and mix well.All the suji balls should be coated with the sauce. Serve warm. As such no chutney needed.
