Ingredients

1 cup sunreap sooji

1/2 cup grated mawa

1/2 cup powdered almonds

1/2 cup milk powder

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup broken cashew pieces roasted

1/2 cup raisin ( small pieces)

3/4 th cup to 1 cup sugar (as per taste)

1/2 tsp cardamom powder

saffron a pinch

3/4 cup ghee

Directions

Step 1In a kadhai, heat all the ghee but keep 1 tbsp for later use. Now add sunreap sooji. Stir until golden in colour.

Step 2Now reduce the flame to minimum and add the following and keep mixing in the given order; grated mawa, milk powder, cardamom powder, saffron, sugar, almond powder, cashew, raisin, saffron, and milk. Stir this well and avoid formation of lumps.

Step 3When the dough becomes smooth and stops sticking to the cooking pan put 1 tbsp ghee and switch off the flame. Now grease a flat dish with 1 tsp ghee and place the dough in it.

Step 4Now flatten this with your palm to 1 inch thickness and let it cool. After it cools down, cut in a shape of your choice. Garnish with saffron.
